Slovakia Wine Tour
We offer you fascinating journey into winemaking tradition cultivated in Slovakia through centuries. The most popular winemaking region is the area of the Small Carpathians which is dotted with charming small town and villages where wine has been poduced from one generation to the next. We want to introduce you to the secrets of Slovak wine making but also show you other interesting cultural and historical sites as well as natural wonders.
Day 1
We will pick you up from the airport in Bratislava. Our driver will take you to your hotel and then you will take part in a city sightseeing containing a visit of the Museum of Viticulture. You will have welcome dinner in an excellent restaurant.
Day 2
You will discover the Small Carpathian region which is well-known as a winemaking area. You will visit Modra and the pottery manufacture and then, you will head toward Pezinok which is considered to be the Slovak capital of wine. Then, you will have a chance to admire the fantastic Renaissance fortress of Cerveny Kamen. You will have lunch in a regional restaurant.
Day 3
You will head toward the former summer residence of the presidents of Czechoslovakia – Chateau Topolcianky, where you will stop to visit this interesting site. You will continue your tour to Nitra – the centre of the Nitra wine region. You will have lunch there and then you will go to Vrable where you will have a chance to explore the wine archives of the Vinanza company.
Day 4
In the morning, you will drive to Muzla pri Sturove and Chateau Bela – a producer of Slovakia’s high–quality wines. You will continue your tour to Velky Krtis, where the another producer of excellent wine has its company -MOVINO . The company MOVINO is the largest producer of wine in the Central Slovak wine region with vast experience in wine production. You will arrive in Koscie in the late afternoon.
Day 5
You will take a pleasant walk around the wonderful Old Town of Kosice. You will admire the marvellous building of Gothic cathedral. In the afternoon, you will head toward Tokay region dotted with numerous wine cellars. You will get to Ostrozovic winery.
Day 6
You will depart Kosice and head towards a picturesque town of Presov where the wine museum is located. The next stops will be in Spis region – one of the most magnificent area of Slovakia with a picturesque Spis Castle, a charming medieval Old town of Levoca, a unique Kapitula Spisska and more. You will have dinner at a Koliba-style restaurant.
Day 7
This day, you will take a scenic ride in the funicular railway to Hrebeniok. You will have a great chance to admire breathtaking views of Lomnicky Peak and then you will descend to the Valley of Cold Cree. You will continue your tour to Trencin which was once a Roman camp. The city of Trencin is famous for the Roman evidence as the Latin inscription on the castle cliff. After some free time, you will go to Bratislava.
Day 8
We will drive you to the airport.
