• Trail description: This scenic trail leads you from the shores of Strbske Pleso through a picturesque valley, passing by a charming waterfall and ascending to the tranquil beauty of Popradske Pleso. Along the way, you’ll encounter the Symbolic Cemetery, a poignant memorial to those who have lost their lives in the mountains. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and a chance to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the High Tatras.

• Total length of the trail both ways: 10.2 km
• Elevation gain: Approximately 323 m
• Average hiking time: 3 hours

2. Strbske Pleso to Hincovo Pleso and back

• Trail description: This challenging yet rewarding hike takes you on a journey through the heart of the High Tatras, ascending to the largest and deepest lake in the mountain range, Velke Hincovo pleso. The trail winds through diverse landscapes, from fragrant pine forests and alpine meadows to rocky terrain and breathtaking vistas. Reaching the shores of this glacial lake, nestled beneath towering peaks, offers a sense of accomplishment and a chance to connect with the raw beauty of the High Tatras.

• Total length of the trail both ways: 16.8 km
• Elevation gain: Approximately 735 m
• Average hiking time: 5 hours 40 minutes

• It is recommended to take a raincoat, comfortable shoes and clothes in case the weather changes unexpectedly
• The trails are generally open from June 16th to October 31st, but check with us for current conditions and closures.
