Poprad: Dobsinska Ice Cave Tour

We invite you to visit fantastic place located 30 km south of Poprad. Dobsinska ice cave is located in the Slovak Paradise National Park. It is one of the longest and deepest ice caves in Europe. The cave was inscribed into UNESCO’s list due to its unique appearence and significance. In order to enter the cave, you will take a 15-minute hike which leads up from the settlement of Dobsinska ice cave. The tour begins on the northern slope of the Duca Hill at elevation of 969,5 m and lasts about 30 minutes. You will descend several tens meters underground and reach the ice kingdom. The tourist route covers 515 metres. In the cave you will have a chance to admire magnificent places both filled with ice and without ice. Among them are the Great and Small Halls, Ruffiny’s Corridor or Collapsed Dome. Be aware! The average temperature in the cave oscillates from -3,9 to -0,2 C so we recommend you to take warm clothes and firm boots.

*It is also possible for us to organize private tours to other sites within the area of Slovak Paradise National Park or combine visiting Dobsinska Ice Cave with some hiking in one of many tourist trails in the park and create a full day tour program. There are nearly 300 km of marked trails in the park stretching along many significant tourist points like for example river Hornad canyon, waterfalls, forests, ruins of monastery in Klastorisko and many others.
