Low Tatras Hiking – 9 days

You will be delighted with our tour to the region of Low Tatras mountain range. The Low Tatras is the second highest mountain range of Slovakia which extends for 80km. Low Tatras National Park is located in Central Slovakia and offers beautiful hiking trials, fantastic views of karst formations, mystic caves, long valleys, deep canyons, steep cliffs and forests.

Day 1

You will start your tour in Liptovsky Mikulas from where you will head toward Jasna Resort located in the Low Tatras. Jasna is a starting point for most tours of our offer and you will be accommodated in a stylish first class hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast you will take part in a hiking trip to one of the highest peaks of Slovakia – Chopok which is towering over the Tatras region on the height of 2024 metres. On the way, you will visit kamenna Chata – a mountain hut situated below the Chopok peak. You will continue your tour to Derese peak which is at the level of 2005 m and then, to Krizske saddle. Overnight in Jasna. You will cover the distance of 16 km.

Day 3

You will traverse through the limestone and dolomite mountain massif and you will ascend Ohniste (1539m) which is called Slovakia’s ‘rock window’. Overnight in Jasna. You will cover the distance of 17 km.

Day 4

This day, you will reach the peak of Dumbier (2043), which is the highest peak of the Low Tatras. You will have a chance to see chamois in a reserve located on the area of the Low Tatras. You will find Chata M.R.Stefanika below Dumbier peak. Overnight in Chata M.R.Stefanika. You will cover the distance of 9 km.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will head toward Jaskyna Mrtvych Netopierov (Dead Bat Cave). The name of the cave derives from the bat bones which age is estimated at 6000 years old. The cave is partially accesible to visitors. You will explore the cave which is 12 km long, 310 m deep and which has 14 floors. Then, you will continue your tour to the Demanovska Valley. Overnight in Jasna. You will cover the distance of 4 km.

Day 6

You will ascend the peak of Sina which is 1560 m high. You will admire the fantastic views over the mountain and experience beauty of nature. Overnight in Jasna. You will cover the distance of 13 km.

Day 7

You will explore two magnificent caves of Demanovska Freedom Cave and Demanovska Ice Cave. You will have a chance to admire cave spaces with flowstone decoration and the view of the iced spaces of the cave.
The option no. 2 to choose will be visiting of Aquapark Tatralandia which is the biggest all-year water park complex in Slovakia situated in the beautiful scenery of mountains. Overnight in Jasna.

Day 8

You will climb up to limestone and dolomite mountain of Krakova Hola (1751m) which is formed with cliffs, steep slope, peak stage covered with dense dwarf-pine. You will admire a scenic views over the mountain range. Overnight in Jasna. You will cover the distance of 14 km.

Day 9

This is the end of our tour. Transfer back to the airport or other destination.
